The Social Democrats submitted on Thursday, at the Constitutional Court a complaint regarding the unconstitutionality of the general law on salaries. PSD Senator Dan Sova declared for the Romanian news agency Mediafax that the complaint signals the breach of several articles of the Romanian Constitution.

Sova said that the Social Democrats call to their support the decision of the Constitutional Court who ruled that the 25% salary cut can be constitutional only if it is valid until December 31, 2010.

The motion of censure submitted by the Opposition was rejected on Thursday in the Parliament: no Parliamentarian took a vote after the incident in which an employee of the public television protested, throwing himself from a balcony in the Parliament. The debates on the motion, which were going on at the time, were suspended and were not resumed after the incident because the Opposition left the meeting.
