Bucharest District 6 mayor Cristian Poteras, who also serves as head of a local sub-commission for the land fund, was indicted by anti-graft prosecutors on Wednesday under charges of abuse in office against public interest.
The National Anti-corruption Department announced that in the same case several other District 6 town hall officials were also indicted
They are charged with breaching the law by issuing property certificates over some 119,650 square meters of land in Bucharest, valued at some 58.2 million euro.
