President Basescu declared on Friday, at Brussels, that there are about 2,500 Romanians in Japan and the Embassy is trying to reach all of them to identify their needs. I convey my compassion for the victims of the Japan quake and Romania will be ready to offer any support if needed and is in its power to do so, Basescu said.
