The radioactive cloud from the Fukushima nuclear plant will reach France on Wednesday but the risk of radioactive residues are negligible and will have no impact on the health of the population, the Nuclear Safety Agency declared. Masses of air containing small radioactive particles were detected on Tuesday night in Iceland, French daily Le Monde reads.

Meanwhile, efforts to re-establish cooling systems at Fukushima have been resumed. Tens of technicians, soldiers and firefighters continued to fight day and night to cool reactors, despite the high level of radiation.
