Renault decided to build, starting 2012 or 2013, in Romania a new generation of engines on gasoline over a French factory where 200 to 400 people will be laid off due to the shift, Liberation reads in an article. The French company says it is not about shifting locations and adds that new engines that will be built in Romania and Spain do not compete with the current generation and have other advantages.

Renault will build in Romania a new small engine generation named H4 and in Spain it will build H5 engines. Liberation reads that the Romanian factory was chosen over the French one at Douvrin which currently builds D4 engines used at Clio, Twingo and Logan. The French daily reads that due to this decisio, the French factory will lose 200 to 400 people.
