Anti graft prosecutors indicted Democrat Liberal Deputy Dan Pasat accused of blackmail, corruption and other acts incompatible with his position, a press release of the institution reads. Together with Dan Pasat prosecutors indicted Constantin Marin, for blackmail acts, Vasile Preda, mayor of Varasti city, Giurgiu county for lying in his testimony.
On October 2010, anti graft prosecutors requested the Chamber of Deputies to lift immunity of their colleague but on February 8th the Chamber rejected the antigraft request. Magistrates of the Higher Court of Justice set for June 20th the first term of the trial, Agerpres informs.
