EU’s Court of Justice ruled on Thursday that the European Commission’s actions against Romania, for not complying with obligations related to the conservation of wild birds, are inadmissible, Romania’s European Affairs Department chief Bogdan Manoiu declared for news agency Mediafax.

This is the first infringement trial in which Romania was called by the EC in front of the European Court of Justice and the trial was won by the state, he said. EC launched an infringement procedure against Romania for not designating enough territories, as numbers and areas for the protection of some wild bird species and some migratory birds.
