Romanian and US delegations negotiating the agreement related to the placement of anti missile shield elements in Romania will meet in Olt, South Romania to discuss with local authorities implications of the decision to place the elements at Deveselu, Olt county, Romanian news agency Mediafax reports. The decision, taken by the National Defense Council was announced by the President on Tuesday morning in a press conference.

According to press communications, Romanian Foreign Affairs ministry state secretary Bogdan Aurescu and US under state secretary Ellen Tauscher, together with the Romanian Army military chief Stefan Danila will travel to Olt for a meeting with local authorities.
