Costs related to the placement of the anti missile shield in the former air base at Deveselu, Olt County South Romania amount to 400 million dollars, plus 20 million dollars annually for the functioning of the system an American official announced on Tuesday quoted by the Romanian news agency Mediafax.

According to him, money will be paid by the US and the placement of the anti missile shield does not imply any costs for Romania. According to the American official, who is part of the team negotiating the agreement on the placement of the anti missile crisis in Romania these costs do not include missiles. He said that Romania has to bear no costs whatsoever regarding the system, except for allowing the former military base and ensuring the security of the site.
