Hungarians in North of Serbia and those from Romania have started requesting Hungarian passports but they are compelled to wait several months to be able to submit their files at the consulate, AFP comments. Hungary’s Consulate in Subotica, 200 km North of Belgrade is never empty.

Keneyeres Laszlo, aged 30 years old has just found out that he might be able to submit his file on November 7 but he does not find it an obstacle.

The same phenomenon is happening in Romania due to the cultural links Hungarians in Romania have with Hungary. They all say that they want to live in Romania but have also a Hungarian passport, AFP reads.
