Romanian President Traian Basescu will attend on Thursday the festivities on June 2 at Rome, when Italians mark 150 years since Italy’s unification even though the Kosovo leader will also attend, news agency Medifax reads. This is not an international reunion of a structure or a regional process to which Romania is part of, the Presidency’s spokesperson Valeriu Turcan said referring to the festivities attended by the President.

Basescu did not attend last week’s Warsaw Summit reuniting Central and Eastern European chief of states because Kosovo president was also invited.
