The agreement on the placement of some elements of the American anti missile shield in Romania was ratified on Monday, at Washington by the two negotiations team, Romanian State Secretary Bogdan Aurescu and Ellen Tauscher, under state secretary for arms control and international security, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry informs in a press release.

Talks between Bogdan Aurescu who is in an official visit at Washington and Ellen Tauscher and Frank Rose tackled connex problematics related to the closing of the agreement following the finalization at Bucharest of the text of the agreement, as agreed by the two teams of experts. Moreover, during all meetings, Bogdan Aurescu raised the issue of Romania’s acceptance into the Visa Waiver program, the press release reads.
