Romania’s national currency depreciated by 0.33% down to 3.4948 Romanian RON/euro on Tuesday, reaching a new maximum for the past year, according to Romanian news agency NewIn. It is the first time since November 2006 that the Romanian National Bank reports such a fall.

Chief dealer of ABN Amro Bank Romania, Dragos Balaci told Romanian news agency NewsIn that this reflects the negative feeling across the world. He argues that the RON depreciation trend will soon stop.
