Russia will deliver this year, between 6.2 and 6.5 billion meters of gas to Romania with almost 1.5 billion meters more than in 2006 declared on Thursday, quoted by NewsIn, Telecom Russian Minister, Leonid Reiman.

According to the data presented by the Russian official, the Russian Federation delivered 5.069 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Romania in 2006, while in 2005 Romania received 4.525 billion cubic meters.

Leonid Reiman added that the two countries are dynamically linked in the energy sector.

According to Romanian Finance minister Varujan Vosganian, the deficit of the commercial exchanges between Romania and Russia will exceed 3 billion euro in 2007.
