The Romanian National Securities Commission (CNVM) has confirmed that Erste Bank der Oesterreichischen Sparkasen AG, the majority shareholder in Romania’s biggest bank, the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), fulfils the terms to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), according to the CNVM Bulletin.

The approval is dated October 25.

Erste Bank top executive Andreas Treichl said in September he hoped the bank would be listed on the BVB by end of 2007 but that considering the BVB procedures it was most probable that the listing would happen in the next eight to nine months.

The listing will include the whole 316,18 million shares issued by Erste Bank that are now trade on the Vienna and Prague exchanges.
