American President George Bush said in a speech held at the National Defense University in the United States that Iran was seeking nuclear weapons and planning to develop intercontinental missiles, able to reach the US and its allies in Europe, including CEE countries such as Romania and Bulgaria, by 2015, Novinite.com reports.

According to the Bulgarian news website, other countries mentioned in this regard were Greece, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

Bush made the warning in arguing his position to install US' controversial missile shield units in CEE countries such as Poland and the Czech Republic.
