A proposal to reshuffle the Liberal government of PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu was rejected with 16 votes against, two in favor and three abstensions at a leadership meeting of Romania's governing Liberal Party - PNL. Tariceanu did not want to make public the names of those proposing the reshuffle and neither of those that voted against.

Tariceanu argued that the reshuffling did not justify itself politically.

PM Tariceanu said that all ministers making up the current government are competent and dedicated to their job. He added that even though some were perceived as too young or too old, they were all serious people with great achievements.
