Romanian public TV station TVR broadcast on Wednesday evening a video recording which shows Agriculture minister Decebal Traian Remes receiving an envelope from the former Agriculture minister, Ioan Avram Muresan. Prosecutors claim that the envelope contained a 15,000 euros bribe, paid by businessman Gheorghe Ciorba.

TVR also broadcast two audio recordings of tapped phone conversations Muresan has with Ciorba and Remes.

There are a total of 21 minutes of film, TVR broadcasting only a few. The phone recording indicates that the businessman called Muresan in order to make sure that the money arrived at Remes.

Ioan Muresan was detained on Saturday night, accused of influence trafficking, but was released by the judges. The prosecutor general demanded approval for the opening of a criminal investigation against Decebal Traian Remes.
