The Bucharest soccer team Rapid has a new coach following the dismissal of Cristiano Bergodi on grounds of elimination from UEFA Cup in the wake of the team’s loss with Nurnberg. Mircea Rednic, who recently resigned from the rival team Dinamo Bucharest, returns to Rapid after four years of coaching wandering.

Rednic has coached Rapid between 2000 and 2001 and between 2002-2003 and won four trophies: Romanian Championship (2003), Romania’s Cup (2002), Romania’s Supercup (2002 and 2003). Following his dismissal by the Rapid owner, Rednic did not hesitate to use all occasions to take revenge and beat his former team.

Rapid owner admits Rednic is the best solution for his team reminding the fans the best results Rapid has recorded internally during his coachship.
