SIAB 2007 - the Bucharest International Auto Show - opens on Friday near the International Henri Coanda airport, on the location of the former Metro Otopeni store, instead of the usual Romaero exhibit center. This year's edition will feature 50% more brands than the previous ones, organizers say - 200 exhibitors on 50,000 square meters.

Porsche Romania (dealer for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and others) rented the largest surface - some 3,000 square meters.

After some years of absence, the brands imported by Tiriac Auto (including Mercedes and Ford) will participate again. Unhappy with the exhibit, Peugeot declined the invitation.

Some cars will be introduced for the first time, including BMW 1 series Coupe and BMW M3, VW Tiguan, Mini Clubman, Fiat 500, Mazda 6, Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C break and C 63 AMG.

Romanian producer Dacia will also present its Logan Pick-up model.
