Aurel Marcu, the Romanian soldier who died in Afghanistan last week, was transfered to his home village of Putul cu Salcia in Romania to be buried on Sunday.

The health condition of four other Romanian soldiers wounded in Afghanistan last week iss stable and under medical observation, according to official announcements.

Alexa Octavian Zafiu was moved to the Ramstein US military base in Germany where he will receive specialized medical treatment after a surgical intervention in Kandahar hospital.

Nicolae Grigore is about to be released in a couple of days while two other Romanians returned to the base where they receive medical care, informs Radio Romania Actualitati.

Aurel Marcu was buried at Putul cu Salcia, his birthplace.
