Moldova prime minister Vasile Tarlev suggested authorities in Bucharest to eliminate visas for the Moldovan citizens who want to visit Romania, given the fact that Romania, which recently became member of the European Union, isn't yet a part of the Schengen space.

In a recent press conference, Tarlev said that Moldova "will appreciate the intention of Romanian authorities to ease the citizenship obtaining procedures for Moldovan citizens only when the quality and the content of promises are proven".

The prime minister explained that he doesn't oppose any measures on this line, although he doesn't agree too much with the double citizenship.

"The double citizenship isn't s good thing. All Moldovans should take pride in their citizenship, not to flee the country when the things get tough".
