Suspect of dioxin contamination, some Danone products were withdrawn from stores last week. Although the official analysis results are expected only on Wednesday, Romanian authorities informed on Tuesday that the Danone products are safe.
Even more, the Dairy Producing Association claimed, through the voice of the group president, Valeriu Steriu, that dairy producing factories in Romania never used the guar gum (the component suspect of contamination) in producing yoghurts, although 80% of the EU countries use it.
