An excellence center for the protection officers will be set up in Romania by UN announced the UN prime secretary on security and protection issues, David Veness on Tuesday.

In a conference in Bucharest, the UN official announced that the center is designed to have a training component and another one of development and research.

UN representative David Veness says that Romania is the perfect location for such a center due to its geopolitical environment.

Romanian Security Agency (SPP) director Lucian Pahontu said that both the instructions and the “students” will come from all over the world and officers will be trained on protection, crisis management and other UN missions.
