The Romanian Superior Magistrature Council (CSM) considers that the World Bank surpassed its attributions when it criticized the stage of the Justice reform in Romania and calls the remarks in the latest WB report as “interfering with the Justice activities”.

The World Bank currently finances projects related to the Romanian Justice reform.

CSM also appreciated that the WB report was built on fragmented data.

The World Bank expressed its “serious concern” with “the slowdown of the reform pace” and with “actions that are not consistent with the reforms strategy”.
