Romania's national football team defeated the Turkish national team in a friendly football game last night with 2:0, the game being the last training test before the official confrontation with Belarus, on September 8. Romania prepares for the preliminary games for Euro 2008.

Also last night, Bulgaria lost on its own field in a game against the Wales (0:1), while Holland lost in Switzerland (1:2) and Belarus won in front of the Israeli team (2:1).

Both the coach, Victor Piturca, and the team were satisfied with the way the game ran and hope for a similar presence when facing Belarus.

Turkish coach Fatih Terim says Romania dominated due to its front field offense players, Mutu, Marica and Dica.
