Over 1,000 business owners rushed to apply for state financing for investments in less than 48 hours, since the online application forms became available. Unfortunately, the state budget for financing investments can only cover at most 300 of the demands.
The "battle" for state funding is old news in Romania. The small and medium enterprises (SMEs) rushed every year to put their hands on some non-refundable tens of thousands of euros. The news is that the lines in the street disappeared since the applications moved online.
The general problem used to be that, during the past years, the physical presence also meant applying the principle "first arrived, first served", while now performance indicators are employed.
