Both Romania and Bulgaria are about to face more expensive food products due to the drought wave. Dairy products and vegetables are the first to face price increases in Bulgaria, officials cited by Rador announced on Monday. At the same time, in Romania, inflation raised because of the increase of food prices.

Bulgarian PM Sergey Stanishev declared for Novinite that the main cause of the price increase is the drought that affected many terrains this spring.

In Romania, prices raised steady, at their turn. In July, prices increased with 0.56% more than in June when the increased amounted to 0.32%.
