Mazda sold in Romania 353 units during the first seven month of 2007, which a 90% increase, compared to 2006 H1, an official Mazda Motor Europe release informs on Monday.

Top sales included Mazda 3 with 115 units, Mazda 6 with 106 units and the BT-50 Pick up with 71 units.

By the end of the year, the company estimates total sales of 1000 units. The increase in sales would be pushed by the new Mazda models which are to enter European markets, namely Mazda 2 and Mazda CX-7.

Currently, Mazda has 10 Romanian dealers and another 5 forecast by the end of the year.

Mazda registered an increase in sales of more than 46% compared to last year in the Czech Republic and Slovakia while in Switzerland, sales grew by 35%.
