After the rains devastatingly poured in the Eastern half of Romania, weather specialists instated orange and yellow codes for several counties in the Western and Central areas.
Starting on Friday evening (21:00, local time) until Sunday morning, heavy rains are expected in the counties of Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Mehedinti, Gorj and Valcea, as well as on the hillsides in Alba and Sibiu. In these areas, orange code alerts are instated.
Yellow codes were announced for the counties of Maramures, Satu-Mare, Salaj, Bihor, Cluj, Bistrita-Nasaud, Arad, Timisoara, Sibiu, Brasov, Arges, Prahova, Dolj and Olt.
