After exiting the red code for heat on Wednesday, Bucharest and parts of Romania are about to see the extreme temperatures returning during the end of the week, ht e National Weather Institute (ANM) informs. An yellow code is probable on Friday. Normal summer temperatures are expected not earlier than the second half of the coming week.

"The only thing to do until Saturday, when the temperature will reach over 37 degrees Centigrade, is to enjoy the fine days of Thursday and Friday", says - in a kind of little minded manner - the general manager at ANM, Ion Sandu.

Heavy storms are expected meanwhile in the Western areas of Romania. Strong winds already left dozens of villages without electricity in the counties of Mehedinti, Harghita and Bistrita.
