Finance Minister, Vosganian resolved the issue of owners waiting to receive compensation for their confiscated houses in the Communist period. Vosganian congratulated those who opted for shares, instead of properties or money, in the Romanian Transelectrica company even before the company to appear at the Stock Exchange on Sunday. He mentioned the shares cannot be sold in the next six months.
The 32 beneficiaries of the certificates received them with great emotion and satisfaction. The compensation amounts over 3 million Romanian RON. Nationally, the compensatory benefits rise to over 80 million RON.
The shares to Transelectica, the main electricity company in Romania, represent about 5% out of the total shares of the company.
