The National Bank of Romania showed an exchange rate of 3.1112 RON per euro on Monday, Romanian news agency NewsIn reports. The euro fell by 0.2 RON as compared to its quotation on Friday, when the European currency stood at 3.1340 RON. This level was last reached in May 28th 2002, when the central bank registered an exchange rate of 3.1089 RON/euro.

As compared to the dollar, the exchange rate displayed on Monday by the National Bank shows a depreciation of over 0.3 RON to 2.2907 RON/dollar. The dollar's last similar score was registered six years ago on August 30th 2000, when the US currency was quoted at 2.2895 RON.
