Moscow officials threaten to withdraw from the European Conventional Forces Treaty (ECFT) as a response to NATO's placing troops near the Russian border and anti-rocket shields in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Russian president Vladimir Putin and NATO officials were on open conflict on Thursday, during the reunion in Oslo. Putin accused NATO of breaking the European Conventional Forces Treaty by installing the anti rocket shields in Poland and the Czech Republic.

US State Secretary, Condoleezza Rice, responded with an acid tone that Russia has nothing to be afraid of. "The anti rocket shield isn't efficient against Russia's arsenal. The idea that some radars and ten interceptors may resist Russia's attack system is hilarious and everyone knows it", said Rice.
