Dacia is still the leader on the Romanian car market, with a 30% share, according to the data supplied by the Car Producers and Importers Association (APIA). Dacia sold in March 2007 only some 8,300 units.

Next best seller is Renault, with only 2,400 units and a 9% market share. The third in top is Skoda (8.8%), followed by Volkswagen, Opel and Daewoo.

The new cars market grew 19.4% compared to the first three months of 2006.
