All senators’ drivers went on strike for two hours on Wednesday, blocking the entire activity in the upper Parliamentarian chamber. The employees refused to work, so that most of the elected officials had to take cabs in order to go to work.

The main discontent sources were the low wages and the card system for gas.

Senate officials admit that an even more important cause of the problems is the new Transport manager, Daniel Fadur. “The protest has reasonable causes. The poor management and the even poorer wages are real and their late written protest was not taken into account”, said senator Ioan Chelaru.
