The tourism projects will receive financing only through the Regional Operational Program. The announcement was made by Florentina Ionescu, an official in the National SME and Cooperation Agency (ANIMMC), within a conference organized by Romania's Industry and Commerce Chamber.
Local authorities, companies and non-governmental organizations intending to develop tourism programs and receive financing through the EU Structural Funds may appeal only to the Regional Operational Program (POR), managed though the European Integration Ministry.
In the first version, the tourism was included both in POR and the Competition Program.
