The currency reserves of the Romanian National Bank-BNR dropped to 21.52 billion euro by end of March 2007, down by 119.2 million euro from February, according to BNR data released on Tuesday. The trend is caused by incomes amounting to 453.7 million euro and spending of 572.9 million euro.

The gold reserve stoot at 104.7 tons with a value down to 1.67 billion euro, which brings the total international reserves of the BNR to amount to over 23.20 billion euro.
