Three journalists arrested in the “Gazeta” file were released from arrest on Friday. Group CEO, Liviu Man, executive manager Aurel Muresan and Ioan Otel, Investigations Manager, benefited from the Braila Court sentence, but still have to stay within Romanian frontiers.

All three were charged with blackmail, after several officials complained they were threatened with public unveilings in case they don’t pay various amounts of money.

The journalists will be judged “at large”, along with the other six colleagues indicted in the same file.
