The Bucharest Stock Exchange-BVB BET index recovered 3% on Tuesday opening after a 5% loss on Monday in continuation to steep falls last week. Shortly after trading began BET rose 3.1% over Monday closure level while general index BET-C grew 2.65%.

BET-FI, measuring the evolution of financial investment societies (SIFs), grew 2.18% in early trading.

On Monday, the BVB reported its heaviest losses in nine months. Adrian Simionescu, a Finans Securities broker, told that after the “harshest” losses on Monday “it is normal that quotes recover” today.
