Romanian Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu appealed on Thursday to all local authorities, in order to develop a firm development project for the Prahova Valley area. Tariceanu also announced his intention to call for a meeting with the local authorities in mountain tourism areas, in order to discuss possible improvements in their offering.

The head of the Executive considers the Bucovina monasteries, the Delta Danube and the Carpathians as the strong points for tourism in Romania, drawing the attention towards a fair and efficient exploitation.

Tariceanu says Romania has to be ready to bring forward tourism projects that may be financed through European funds.
