24 large supermarket, hypermarket, cash & carry and discount stores announce the opening of a total of 176 new sores in 2007, reaching an average of one every 50 hours.

2007 is expected to be the year for discount stores, which announced 70 new units. 71 new supermarkets may open, including the ones held by networks, but an exact figure is difficult to calculate. The cities will also have 32 new hypermarkets and three new cash & carry units.

The future Sun Plaza mall will host the third Cora location (there is one in Bucharest and one in Cluj Napoca).
