The former head of the Italian military intelligence (SISMI), Nicolo Pollari, was indicted on Friday for his involvement in the kidnapping of a Muslim cleric, Abu Omar, by a CIA commando. Other 26 American agents were sent to Justice on Thursday for participating in the same operation, AFP informs, quoting ANSA.

General Nicolo Pollari, former head of the military intelligence, was fired in November due to suspicions regarding this deal. Milan prosecutors say it’s possible for Pollari to have consented to the kidnapping.
