A Bucharest court approved on Tuesday the divorce of Ioana Basescu, President Traian Basescu’s daughter, and Bogdan “Bodo” Marin, known as the vocalist of local pop band Proconsul. The divorce comes three and a half years since their marriage, which was officiated by Traian Basescu himself, who then served as Mayor of Bucharest.
The media has speculated that a divorce was inevitable between Ioana and “dandy” husband Bodo long before the launch of the procedure was officially announced last year.
