One of the major Romanian oil players, The Rompetrol Group NV (TRG) submitted an official intention letter expressing its desire to take over the Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) company, one of the oil market players on the Serb market.
The NIS privatization process is still preliminary, but TRG seems determined to go through all stages of the road, a press release of the Romanian company shows.
NIS is an objective that comes naturally after the recent enlargement on the French market, after Rompetrol managed to expand its affairs from the Caspian to the Mediterranean area.
Rompetrol N.V. (TRG) is one of the most important 20 multinational oil companies in Europe (in income figures), headquartered in Holland. Most assets and most of the operations are located in France, Romania, Spain and the rest of South Eastern Europe.
