The International Migration Organization and the UK Embassy in Romania opened on Wednesday a toll-free number for Romanians interested in the labor conditions in the UK after Romania’s accession to the EU. The number, 088.23.456 will work between December 31st and March 31st, 8:00 - 20:00.

In a statement for the Public Radio, the British ambassador in Bucharest, Robin Barnett, offered some details. “Persons with special skills qualifying for the high-qualification program will be admitted in the same conditions as before.

Students will still be able to work in part-time jobs, up to 20 hours a week, while qualified workers would be accepted where there is an interior deficit of labor force”.

Not qualified workers from Romania and Bulgaria will be able to access the season-employment schemes for vacant seats in the agriculture-food industry jobs.
