The next meeting of the National Defense Supreme Council (CSAT) will include on its agenda the situation in the Romanian energy field. After the signals indicated lately that Romania may soon face an energy crisis, CSAT decided to analyze both the Petrom privatization contract and the situation of the winter reserves.
A report currently in progress at the Economy Ministry will be presented, regarding the energy provisioning, the prices and costs, as well as an analysis on the effect pf the Petrom and Distrigaz Sud privatization process.
President Traian Basescu declared, while visiting Libya, that the price for natural gas may soon grow until 2008 between 8 and 13%.
