The Romanian IT&C Ministry is trying for a second time to chose a consultant for the privatization of the Romanian Mail National Company (CNPR), after a first move in this regard led to only one offer. This time, ten companies submitted letters of interest by the October 12 deadline, it was announced.

The banks are: a consortium formed of BNP Paribas and Frontier Economics; a consortium formed of CA-IB, Rothschild&Sons, Ernst&Young and CMS Cameron McKenna; a consortium formed of Daiwa Sec SMBC and KPMG; Enterprise Capital; FinansInvest; a consortium formed of Goldman Sachs si Erste Bank; Lazard; PriceWaterHouseCoopera UK; a consortium formed of Raiffaisen Centrobancage, RIAG, RCI and RIR; a consortium formed of Wood&Company Financial Services and Alpha Finance Romania.

The future consultant is to make sure the course of privatization follows the best of conditions in terms of loyal and transparent competition, IT&C minister Zsolt Nagy has said.
