The regulated natural gas prices in Romania will remain unchanged starting October 1, 2006 until the end of the year, the National Natural Gas Regulation Authority-ANRGN announced on Thursday. The price of domestic production will stay at the current price of 330 Romanian lei/1,000 cubic meters.
Clients reporting an average consumption of less than 2,400 cubic meters would continue to pay a non-VAT price of 843.43 lei/1,000 cm in the case of DistrigazSud clients and 842.99 lei in the case of E.ON Romania clients.
The current price stability is given by the favorable evolution of the exchange rate and lower average costs for natural gas transportation, which compensate higher prices for imported gas for the fourth quarter of the year.
