Seven youth died and another was injured in a car crash in the county of Calarasi, SE Romania, on Sunday morning. Police sources told the car crash was caused by high speed and the driver’s lack of attention to road conditions.

The seven died as they were returning from a disco club, all crowded in a five-seat Dacia car. The driver, a 22-year old student from Bucharest, lost control of the wheel. The car left the road and crashed into a tree.

The accident comes several days after 12 people died in another car crash in Eastern Romania.
